Irresistible. This was taken on an old Pentax K1000 and scanned, so it has lost some sharpness, but the grain brings out the texture of the stucco’d wall. No artist could better have composed the lazy curve of the washing line to evoke Mediterranean life and the lassitude which the mid-day sun brings on.
